Once before, and under the sun
I was handsome, and oh so young
It was not gold that made me a ghoul

A tort is a part of law that deals with civil issues that are not due to a party breaking a contractual obligation. Torts are not a part of criminal law because only in rare circumstances are people sentenced to jail time during a tort suit. For instance, if you are involved in a serious accident then tort law can help you recover damages for the person who is liable for any injuries that you have. If the defendant acted negligently and was distracted at the time of the crash because they were talking on their cellular phone then this would be considered to be a negligent tort. Most torts are torts that involve negligence. People want the people who injured them to be held accountable for their negligent actions. Standard of care in tort law refers to finding out whether a person is responsible for their own injury or whether someone else should be held responsible for their injury. For instance, a person needs to use standard of care. If a person does not use standard of care when they are driving their car and they hit a pedestrian then they did not exercise standard of care. Tort law also covers property rights. If a person does damage to your property then you can file a lawsuit to get compensated for the damage that was done to your property. A tort relates to a specific person that was wronged. This person is called the plaintiff and the person who committed the action against them is called the defendant. You can also file a tort when there is a breach of common expectations. An example of this is when you purchase food from a restaurant. You expect that your food will be cooked properly and that it will taste good. If food is not cooked properly, especially meat then the patrons could become ill from food borne illnesses such as salmonella. If people contract salmonella they might become very ill and need hospitalization which would cost them money. The chef who cooked the food could be held liable for medical expenses and lost wages that the patrons incurred due to the fact that they were sickened by his or her’s food. Many people have liability insurance to help to protect them in case they are involved in a tort suit. This way if the company is sued then the insurance company will pay for the damages instead of having the business owner have to pay for the damages. This has saved many companies from bankruptcy due to tort suits. It also helps people who are involved in tort suits that involve car accidents. Most states require that drivers have at least liability insurance on their automobiles. Many people do abuse tort law. There are many tort suits filed that have no merit. People abused tort law because they want to file a lawsuit and get money even if their injury is

I prefer selling on Amazon because it is just so much more efficient than eBay (in most cases). You can list your books for sale much faster, and I believe they sell faster on Amazon because the buying process is so much simpler and easier for the buyers.

Another big plus in selling books on Amazon is that you can capture some sales from book buyers who go to Amazon, originally with the intention of buying a new book. They get to Amazon’s site expecting to pay $20 for a new book, and notice that a used bookseller has the same thing they’re looking for in excellent condition for only $10. So you get lots of sales on Amazon from people who hadn’t even considered buying a used book.

However, there are some instances when I think it’s good to sell on eBay. If you have a collection or assortment of one authors’ books, you could sell it as a package. For example, if you had one copy of each book written by Stephen King, you could sell it as an “instant Stephen King collection” and it would surely receive lots of attention, and sell for more than you could get for each of the titles individually.

And there are lots of booksellers that believe if you have a truly unusual, collectible book, you can get a higher price by auctioning it on eBay than you can selling it at a fixed price on Amazon.

So even though I prefer selling on Amazon to eBay, I have active accounts on both sites because I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket. For example, what would happen if your whole business depended on Amazon, and one day Amazon decided they didn’t want to allow independent sellers on their site anymore? In that case your whole business could go down the tubes. So I would recommend that sellers maintain an active eBay account, just to avoid becoming totally dependent on a certain sales venue.

4 - A Quick Tip

A Tip is something that is too short to qualify as an article but important enough to deserve a Blog Entry. If you are a Gardner you may write a short 2 to 10 Line Tip on the best way to keep the rabbits from eating your Carrots.

5 - A Review of your Website

This is a fantastic way to draw attention to your web site. Write a review of your web site. Gloss over the Weak Spots Brag about the good points. (Just don’t over do it)

6 - A Review of your Blog

If you have more then one blog then see Step 5 and write a review of your other Blog or even a post in your other blog

7 - Coming Attractions

It’s 3am you have a great Idea for an Article but you just don’t feel like writing it now. Create a Blcg entry stating that you will write the article Shortly with a brief summary of the Article. This gives you something to write about now and ensures you don’t forget to write the full article later.

Cash back credit cards are a fantastic way for you to make some cash, while spending on your credit card, though it does only suit the customers who pay their bill in full at the end of each month.

A cash back credit card will give you the chance to earn as you spend, as a percentage is returned to you on an annual basis for every pound that you have spent. This is usually set at between 0.5% and 2% depending on how generous the credit card lender is and as I have said already and will say again, I cant stress enough at being able to pay off your credit card statement in full each month, is the only way that a cash back credit card will work for you.

If you are a borrower then cash back credit card’s will only cost you, even though you will be earning a little back, you will find that this will be eaten up and more by the interest charges, which are usually on a higher scale of APR.

By not incurring the interest payments, then every pound that you spend on the card will see a little winging it’s way back to you and if you do pay your credit card bill off in full and never have worries about doing so, then why not switch to a cash back credit card, if you don’t already have one, as there are only a few ways in which you can get money from a credit card lender, rather than the many ways in which they abstract cash from us.

There is a word of warning that will come with this though, if you decide that you want to balance transfer a amount from your existing credit card company on to a cash back credit card, then you should try and avoid this, in fact avoid it altogether, as any payments you make to the credit card will only go on to pay the amount transferred and interest will only mount up on any purchases that you have made on the credit card, which will leave you paying back more than the cash back card is making you.

There are a few good deals on the go right now, with the Amex Blue cash back card the Amex Platinum and the First Trust Bank cards worthy at a look if you decide that a cash back credit card is for you.

So if you have a clear statement at the end of each month then go for it and make that bargain in the sales save you even more cash.
