Make Use of the Garage in Winter
When winter hits most people prefer to stay indoors inside, out of the chilling winds and away from the frozen roads. This can make it hard to remain active, especially if there are restless youngsters involved who are bored of just sitting around the house. Here are some suggestions for keeping them active and out of the cold! Move the car out of the garage. Yes, the windows may get a bit frosty but with the extra space in the garage it can be turned into the perfect play room! Garage floor tiles are readily available that can provide a nice finish to the floor, maybe add a heater or two, some toys and it will be ready for use. Grown-ups can also benefit from clearing out the garage. The garage can be a great place for gym equipment or a pool table. For those who work from home a lot, they can make quite neat offices or storage areas. They can serve much better uses than simply storing old junk that will likely never be used again. Using the space in the garage also means there is no need to worry about anything in the house being ruined. If drinks are spilled or food is walked into the floor it can be easily rectified in the garage, on a new carpet it may not be as easy! There is also usually nothing of too much value kept in a garage, which is ideal, especially if you have a party or a lot of children running about.
